Location
Coláiste Chamuis is situated in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht, the biggest Irish-speaking region in the country. Courses are organised in Camus, An Tulach and Ros a’ Mhíl where we have our own newly built ultra-modern centre, Teálta na hÓige.
Directions to ColÁiste Chamuis, Camus
Take the Oughterard/Clifden road from Galway (N59). Go through Oughterard and continue on to Maam Cross. Turn left at Maam Cross (onto R336) and continue on to Screebe Cross, which is a T junction. Turn left at Screebe. The Community Centre, Camus, is about half a mile along that road, on your right, behind the football field. Please park in the carpark in front of the Church which is to the rear of the Community Centre.
Directions to ColÁiste Chamuis, Ros a'mhÍl
Take the Coast Road to Spiddal from Galway. Go through Spiddal and follow signs for the Aran ferry from Ros a’ Mhíl. About 8 miles beyond Spiddal you will pass TG4 headquarters on your left. Just beyond that the road swings to the right. Continue for c. 3 miles to Ros a’ Mhíl crossroads and turn left. Continue for c.1 mile to carpark for boats to Aran, and turn left. Turn right immediately on to a narrow road. Continue for c.400 metres. The Coláiste Chamuis centre, Teálta na hÓige, is situated on your right. Registration at the beginning of course takes place here when you arrive.

Take the Coast Road to Spiddal from Galway. Go through Spiddal and continue for c. 8 miles. Coláiste Chamuis, An Tulach, is situated on the right, about half a mile further on from the Aer Árann Airport which is on your left, just across the road from a thatched pub, Tigh Johnny Sheáin, and just before the TG4 headquarters. Please park in the carpark in front of the Community Hall and follow the instructions of the staff members on duty. We ask drivers to be very careful when entering and leaving the carpark as they are on a busy main road.
